Spare-to-Fleet Ratio
Coverage built in, before you ever need it.
We operate with one spare bus for every three in daily service. This built-in capacity supports route continuity and allows us to keep service consistent when maintenance or scheduling adjustments are needed.
Rider Experience Fund
Small touches that make daily trips feel familiar.
Contract routes are supported by Guardian's Rider Experience Fund, which is used for small onboard improvements, seasonal decorations, and thoughtful touches that make daily trips comfortable and familiar for the students we transport.
First-Rider Program
A friendly introduction to riding the bus.
For a lot of students, the first school bus ride is a big deal. That's why we partner with school divisions to run a First Rider program before the year starts - your driver comes out on a scheduled day so new riders and their families can meet them, step onto the bus, and get a feel for the ride and the basics of bus safety. It's a small step that makes for a much more confident first day, and it helps us get every route running smoothly right from the start.
Annual Guardian Safe Bus Award
A student award we're building with local schools.
We're working with school divisions to bring an annual Guardian Safe Bus Award to their students - a small way to recognize kids who take bus safety seriously. Our part is simple: we contribute funding to support the award. Each school division takes it from there, deciding how students can enter (often something like a short reflection on riding safely) and choosing who receives it.
It's still a program we're building out with our school partners, but the idea is simple: celebrate the students who help make the ride safer for everyone.
